I hope you all had a great Easter weekend, or whatever it is you may celebrate. This week were talking marrying bohemian and preppy separates and making them get along. For instance, this Helmut Lang blouse (Preppy), and the Gingham vest (bohemian). At first glance the two seem like a pair that shouldn't be matched, however, playing around with different pieces is how most of the best looks come about. I wore this look a couple months back to the 24 hour cotton fashion show, and I got very positive feedback. Thus, I decided to re-create it and blog about it, for the event I wore a pair of high-heeled booties and in the pictures above I wore a flat pair ( whichever look works fine ). For those of you that aren't into the gingham thing, switch up the vest for one with a solid color, add a pair of pumps and you've turned this day look into a night one. Also, one can opt for dismissing the hat and the vest, adding some heels and voila thats another killer ensemble. Hope you enjoyed!
